Triumph Factory Racing Enduro Team’s Jonny Walker concluded the 2026 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship with a strong runner-up result at the season finale in Douai, France. Delivering an impressive performance on the technical French circuit, Walker secured second overall on the night to claim his sixth podium finish of the seven-round series. The result also confirmed second place in the final championship standings, marking an outstanding achievement for Triumph as the TF 450-E completed its first full world championship campaign.

Jonny began the evening as fourth-fastest in timed practice before heading into SuperPole. A crash while on a promising lap dropped him to seventh, placing the Brit on the second row for the opening race. Undeterred, Walker launched strongly from the start and quickly worked his way towards the front of the group through the opening corners. A small crash on the first lap briefly halted his progress and dropped him to the back of the field, but he responded with a determined charge through the pack. Demonstrating both skill and composure on the demanding layout, the Brit overtook rider after rider to climb back to fifth by the chequered flag.

Lining up on the front row for the reverse-grid second race, Walker made the perfect start by claiming the holeshot and immediately stretching a gap at the front. Delivering a confident and controlled ride, he maintained his advantage throughout the race despite constant pressure from behind. Showing the pace and consistency that has defined his 2026 season, Jonny held firm to secure the race win and firmly place himself back in contention for the overall result.

For the final race of the championship, Walker again lined up on the back row but produced another strong start to emerge fourth through the opening turns. Wasting no time, he began closing down the leaders and soon entered a fierce three-way contest for second. A decisive double overtake through the log section moved Jonny into the runner-up position midway through the race, and despite relentless pressure and several laps of position swapping, he remained composed to hold second place through to the finish.

Thanks to his improving race results, Walker secured second overall on the night to round out the season in style. The result confirmed his position as runner-up in the 2026 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship and capped an exceptional debut campaign for the TF 450-E in its first full world championship season. Following his AMA EnduroCross title last year, Walker quickly adapted to the Triumph machine and delivered race wins, multiple overall podiums, and consistent front-running performances throughout the series.

“Tonight in France we wrapped up the final round of the championship with second overall on the night and second overall in the championship. The last three rounds have been really tough for me physically. I broke my hand at the first one, pushed through the next round, and tonight I picked up a rib injury in the first race which made it hard to even take a deep breath. So to still come away with second overall in the championship is something I’m really proud of. It’s been a big effort from the whole team and I’m grateful for all the support along the way.”

Paul Edmondson – Triumph Factory Racing Enduro Team Manager

“It’s great to wrap up the season here in France after what has been an amazing year for the team. Moving Jonny from the 250 to the 450 was a big step for us, especially coming straight off his EnduroCross win, and we knew SuperEnduro would bring a different set of challenges. But Jonny adapted incredibly well and together we’ve had a really strong season. The whole team has worked hard behind the scenes, and to finish second in the championship with the TF 450-E in its first full season is something we’re really proud of. A big thank you to all of our sponsors and everyone at Triumph who has supported the programme – it’s been a fantastic team effort.”

Ian Kimber – Head of Global Racing Programmes, Triumph Motorcycles

“It’s great to see Jonny round out the championship in second place. Once again, he’s shown not only his incredibly smooth riding style, but also the capability of our new enduro machinery. Taking the TF 450-E into SuperEnduro is no small task, but it really highlights the adaptability and performance of the bike. Coming straight off his EnduroCross title, Jonny carried strong momentum into the series and showed he can take the fight to the very best in the world. In just our second year in SuperEnduro, to have both of our machines secure second place in the championship in consecutive years is a fantastic achievement. Well done, Jonny.”
