5.11 Triumph Factory Racing has finished a positive day in the sand, underlined by impressive comeback rides from Mikkel Haarup and Jordon Smith aboard their TF 450-X machines as the 2026 AMA Pro Motocross season continued with the sixth round of the season at Southwick. Haarup led the team in ninth overall in a stacked 450MX class, while Smith was just behind in 10th.

Haarup's workload in the first 450MX moto was substantial. Already sitting on the cusp of the points after a challenging start, he fell on lap four and had to repass a lot of the same riders. Eventually, he rose from 20th to 12th in a noteworthy ride that lined him up for some success in moto two. Another difficult start hindered him in the second moto but, fortunately, he avoided any mistakes and was able to climb to seventh. Haarup, via 12-7 scores, was classified in ninth overall.

Much like his teammate, Smith made an impressive number of moves in his first moto. 15th on the first lap, he eventually led Haarup across the line in 11th place but, unsurprisingly, his lap times indicated that his speed was deserving of a rank in the top ten. The TF 450-X's power pulled Smith to a sixth place start in moto two; he eventually crossed the checkered flag mere seconds behind his teammate in eighth place. 10th was his eventual ranking in the overall classification.

After an impressive day in AMA Pro Motocross' premier class, Haarup holds eighth in the 450MX championship standings whilst Smith sits in 10th marking two TF 450-Xs inside of the top ten for the first time in the manufacturer's short history in the class.

Deacon Denno was ruled out of round six of AMA Pro Motocross after a fall in moto one and injured his collarbone. Updates on his recovery will be shared in due course.

Attention moves across to the picturesque circuit of Millville in Minnesota now. The seventh round of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship will run on Saturday 18 July.

Mikkel Haarup:
"I think my riding was positive today. I just didn't have the starts that I needed. I was caught in two crashes in moto one, so had to dig really deep. I had to come from the back in moto two and salvaged seventh. I want to thank 5.11 Triumph Factory Racing for the hard work. I feel like we were close to the top five's pace today."

Jordon Smith:
"It was a solid day today at Southwick. It was the best riding that I've had all year. I struggled a little bit in practice and had a bad start in moto one, but I battled really hard. I had a better start in moto two and was one pass away from being sixth overall. I ended up 10th, so that was a big swing, but today was a big step forward."

Jeremy Coker – General Manager, Triumph Racing America:
"Today was the definition of a rollercoaster day. Both Mikkel and Deacon had positive qualifying sessions. Jordon, on the other hand, struggled early on but stayed mentally strong and had much better motos. His second moto was his best yet – I'm very proud of him. Mikkel struggled off the gate this weekend, but the riding was good. Unfortunately for Deacon, he had a crash in moto one that resulted in an injured collarbone. We'll get it evaluated, fixed and determine what his next step is. This team works very hard and I'm extremely proud of every single person here. We will continue to hold our heads high and push forward."
